1.  For best results, treat pet stains as they occur and remove stains with Riccar Dry Carpet Cleaning Powder for Homes with Pets.

2.  If the source of the pet odor is unknown, find it using a black light in a darkened room.  Your pet's accidents will glow, making them easy to locate and treat.

3.  Old stains have likely wicked like an iceberg under the carpet and may not be readily seen. Liberally apply Pet Stain and Odor Remover, starting at least 12 inches from the edge of visible stain. If the stain has soaked into the pad, it may take several applications and enough to penetrate into the pad to be fully effective.

4.  Occasionally the smell may seem worse after cleaning.  This just means that the urine has spread further under the carpet than you initially thought.
